Our very many thanks to all the staff at Fielding and Cumber who cared for Toby during his life, but especially the Bank Holiday weekend when he became suddenly so poorly, to James Thorpe whom he knew and trusted, fortunately on duty that day and Kate Reeve who showed us understanding, caring and compassion on Toby’s final day of life. Also, Cecily and Kate, receptionists at Dorchester, always welcoming and adding the essential personal touch, knowing us and our pets. For all staff who came into contact with Toby during his life for the care and compassion shown we are extremely appreciative.
Toby was a wonderful, loving, gentle giant, the colour of a polar bear. We didn’t choose him. He chose us! He was the only one of the litter of eight outside of the litter pen wandering around and approached us, licking our faces madly. We knew straight away he was the one for our family and how right we were. We have enjoyed thirteen wonderful years of fun and games, love and laughter and the loyalty, love and companionship he gave to our family will be remembered forever. Rest in peace our gentle friend. We all miss you so much, especially your companion Reba.
