Laser Therapy

Learn what it can help with

We are very pleased to be able to offer your pets the very latest in laser therapy treatment.  Our class IV deep tissue laser therapy machine is designed to offer a surgery-free, drug-free, non-invasive treatment which can.

  • Reduce pain
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Speed healing

The laser uses a beam of laser light to penetrate deeply into body tissue without damaging it.  The laser causes more blood to flow to the damaged body cells bringing water, oxygen and vital nutrients which are all required to reduce pain and inflammation and speed up healing.  Laser therapy has been scientifically proven to help reduce pain following surgery and to successfully treat acute and more long term conditions in cats and dogs including:

Acute Conditions

  • Post surgery healing & pain relief
  • Wounds
  • Infections
  • Cuts/bites
  • Inflammation
  • Sprains/strains & fractures

Long Term Conditions

  • Degenerative joint disease (arthritis)
  • Periodontal disease (mouths & gums)
  • Lick granulomas
  • Geriatric care
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Tendonitis
  • Otitis

If you feel your pet might benefit from laser therapy you will need to book an appointment with one of our vets who will then assess your pet and recommend a course of treatment if they feel it appropriate.

We have had some very positive feedback from our clients whose pets have had laser therapy and the great thing is that the pets actually enjoy it – no need for anaesthetic or even sedation.
