Throughout the winter months we are running a dental awareness campaign in our Weymouth and Dorchester surgeries. Good oral hygiene is incredibly important for our pets’ health and happiness, but unfortunately it is an area of pet care that is often overlooked.
A recent study conducted throughout the veterinary profession found that 80% of pets coming in for boosters will have some form of dental disease. In a bid to combat this problem, we are offering a free vet oral health appointment to our customers with cats and dogs.
During the appointment one of our experienced vets will carry out a thorough dental assessment, which will allow them to look for any signs of dental disease. They will also offer guidance on teeth brushing and provide suggestions for preventative measures you can carry out at home. Should they feel further investigation or treatment is needed, they will be able to advise on the best course of action and associated costs.
Dental treatments such as x-rays, descaling and tooth extraction are carried out in our Dental Suite. This state of the art surgery contains top of the range equipment, which enables us to offer patients the highest level of monitoring and care.
