Johanna, our Assistant Practice Manager is participating in a charity boxing match in aid of the mental health charity, Mind Dorset. Johanna has worked at Dave Cumber Vets for a number of years and oversee’s all aspects of the business, to ensure that our veterinary surgeries run seamlessly and provide the best care for our customers.
In an effort to improve her fitness whilst raising much needed funds for this wonderful charity, Johanna has been training hard for the last 8 weeks at MMAX Dorchester Martial Arts Academy. She decided to sign up for the challenge with the encouragement of coach Nic, after spending hours watching her son train.
Johanna says “It has been so tough, but by far one of the best things i’ve ever decided to have a go at. Its been physically and mentally challenging at times..but i wanted to prove that 40 is not over the hill to get in shape and keep fit while raising money for a brilliant charity along with Frank Bruno himself…i don’t think anyone appreciates just how fit these boxers are until you have to give it a go! “
The event is set to take place on Saturday 29th June. We wish her every success in her efforts and know that her hard work and dedication will pay off!
If you would like to support Johanna and help her reach her fundraising goal in support of this wonderful charity you can donate on her JustGiving page.
